About me

I grew up in Bavaria, Southern Germany. Early on I developed a passion for travelling and getting to know other countries and cultures (despite Bavaria being a fantastic place :-) ). Through several stays abroad during school and university, I learnt to be comfortable and to feel at home in many different contexts. I feel very grateful to have friends in many different countries.

WIth a Masters Degree in Economics I have worked in the area of international development finance and development cooperation for more than 20 years. The last five years I have held a middle management position at a European Development Bank. During my professional life I have lived in Germany, Zambia and Belgium and have worked in many countries in Africa and Asia. I now live in Brussels with my husband and two teenage-daughters.

While I fully enjoyed my life with family, meaninful job with responsibilities and lots of commuting and travelling, my energy levels were going down over time. I discovered that through mindfulness, meditation and yoga I could reintroduce a sense of calm and deeper satisfaction into my life. I got really intrigued by the question: what can I change - to get my energy levels up again, to not die of a heart attack at the age of 50, to prepare mind and body pro-actively for later stages in life.

This led me to train as Human Potential Coach and Psychological Fitness Specialist. For me it was incredible to experience the results of this journey. Through simple changes to habits, new routines, easy regular exercises for the mind I was able to take control of my ever busy mind and develop a somatic awareness of my body. Life feels so much easier now - as if a heavy load has been taken off my shoulders. I was so fascinated by this journey and fully convinced by the results I experienced myself, that I now want to support others in their journey of change.
